We went to our usual Chinese buffet last night.
As we were eating, the host sat these 2 women next to us.
No big deal except the 2 big trash full trash bags they were pulling around on a hand trolley is disconcerting to see in a restaurant.
Every customer and waiter and waitress that walked by gave them trash bags a 2nd and 3rd look, every time.
I am sure they were not full of trash:
it was 100 degrees outside and if they were full of trash including food trash, there would be a stench eminating from it.
We thought maybe these 2 women were homeless but they look clean, so maybe they are not.
Or maybe they indeed are homeless and this is their one decent meal of the day.
I understand the homelessness plight: once you get in it, it's a never ending cycle which is difficult for a person to extricate out of.
Regardless of their situation, I still think the restaurant hosts and management should had made arrangement for them to leave the 2 big trash bags up front behind the big 15 feet long counter they have.
Also see the U.S. Postal Service Priority package I have highlighted in the red square? It was pretty bulky.
When they first sat down, the woman on the right was trying to open it and her friend told her not to open it in a restaurant and stopped her with hand gestures.
They never left the table together to go get food. One is always behind guarding it.
If the one on the left gets up to leave, she will pass the package to her friend on the right who would put it on the empty chair next to her, and vice versa.
I just find the whole thing very odd.
So if you were in a restaurant and this happened to you:
other diners came in pulling 2 big full trash bags and put them next to them at their table, what would your initial immediate reaction be?
