From RateYourmusic (review by Oceanrain)
One of the most astonishing and powerful albums of all time, Secondhand Daylight contains nine songs of twisted, bleak, funny, weird, disturbing and exciting music that are far, far more ambitious, near-epic in scale than anything Magazine had attempted before: three pieces here; "Feed the Enemy", "Cut-Out Shapes" and "Back to Nature" take the grandeur of the last album’s "Parade" to the logical limit and succeed incredibly. Their darkest and most difficult album, Secondhand Daylight has so much to offer in the long run that I cannot believe it’s not rated more often as a true classic of the night.

Tracks:
1 Feed the Enemy 5:45
2 Rhythm of Cruelty 3:03
3 Cut-Out Shapes 4:43
4 Talk to the Body 4:34
5 Wanted Your Heart 5:13
6 The Thin Air 4:10
7 Back to Nature 6:40
8 Believe That I Understand 4:00
9 Permafrost 5:25

Personnel:
Howard Devoto - vocals
John McGeoch - guitar, saxophone, keyboards on "The Thin Air"
